LOTD + Review: Urban Decay Primer Potion

Ever since I started posting LOTD's, none of them have been an actual look of the day, they were more like a look of the hour. However, this is a make up look that I wear out often... a simple brown smokey eye.

I wanted to give an initial, yet legitimate review on Urban Decay's primer potion. Also, I recently bought some Missha eyelashes which I totally love and I'm in dire need to get more... and I shall.

These were at 3:00 p.m.

Now these pictures were at 1:00 a.m. A good 10 hours and there was no creasing whatsoever. The color melted a little, but that was expected, it's still quite vibrant anyways. Btw, I accidentally scratched my eye which is why my eyelash was falling out, but that was towards the ending of the night when it didn't matter.

I've removed my falsies here, and you can see how short my eyelashes are as well as how chinky my eyes are.

My face is oily. I did no blotting or touching up on powder to my skin. I have quite ugly skin... I wasn't blessed with good skin and a few years ago my skin was absolutely horrible. Maybe I'll post up a blog on some before and after pictures about my experience with acne. That's the reason why I don't hesitate as much to post close up pictures of my face. It's because I know my skin could have been worse at this point, because it has.

Overall, I really love this primer. It's no mystery of why it's so popular and with such great reviews. I've joined the primer potion cult and give this a 5/5, for the 3 p's.

Price: 5/5 $23 ($29 + 20% off)
Product: 5/5 This product does what it's made for... must I really say more?
Packaging: I got the professional sized tube so I had no problems with it. I love it!

Have you got any secrets to keep oily skin at bay?

LOTD + Review: Urban Decay NYC palette

My second palette I bought. Heaven only knows how many I have yet to show you. Lol jk I have one more. Heeey, I needed to get my hands on a variety of eye shadow colors due to the fact that I don't have many other than my everyday/typical smokey eye look. This was the cheapest way to satisfy my cravings, by HOARDING up on palettes... yay.

Anyways, Urban Decay is known for having very pigmented and shimmery eyeshadows, and that's exactly what I got, except for a matte light black color. Needless to say, I love love love this palette. Although this palette has similar colors to my Too Faced palette, it's okay because that one was a bargain (calculations done on one of my recent posts). It came with two sample-sized pencils of its 24/7 glide-on eye pencils in Ransom and Zero, as well as a sample-sized bottle of Urban Decay's primer potion. Not bad for $54. It's a shame make up has just been pronounced as my newly-found hobby, I would have gotten the Alice in Wonderland palette after seeing numerous posts on tumblr.

NOTD: black glitter

After painting my nails three days in a row, I decided to give me a manicure that would last me more than a day... and this was it. I got to test the black glittered NYX girls nail polish I bought a few days ago. The black nail polish I'm using is actually from the Philippines. This do was simple, yet chic... loved it... too bad it is officially ruined as of today because I swatched nail polish colors on my fingernails! :-) Time for a new do.

LOTD + Review: Too Faced enchanted glamourland

I bought the Too Faced enchanted glamourland palette because since I'm on the search for my perfect primer, I thought it would be reasonable to get this palette to play around with the colors as well as indulge in a full-sized bottle of its shadow insurance as well as a wonderful, wonderful (full-sized) lip gloss. I really love love love the lip gloss because it complements my lip color quite well as well as giving me that plumping feeling which my lips just absolutely adore.

The shadows are very well pigmented and very easy to blend. There's a good variety of colors that would be great for prom make up application and events where you want your eyes to pop due to its metallic array of colors. For $49 dollars at Sephora, this palette is definitely worth it. After all, the full-sized bottles of shadow insurance and lip gloss are $18 and $19 respectively. Technically you're paying $12 for the eye shadows. Reasonable, right? Most definitely!

Viewer beware: a massive load of pictures are awaiting you.

LOTD + Review: L.A. Colors - 10 color palette in Mineral Spa

Perhaps L.A. Colors falls under more of the hit or miss category when it comes to make up. Their nail polishes are decent for their price of $1.99. I bought this L.A. Colors palette for $1.99 and I guess you get what you pay for. I probably wouldn't have been able to apply a decent eyeshadow look without my lovely and reliable MAC brushes and a good base. There wasn't much pigmentation so I really had to pack the color onto my eyelids with the use of 4-5 applications. However, the highlight (I used two highlight colors) was pretty good which only took one application.

Overall, I would not buy this product again or unless I get to sample the colors at a store or unless I read/hear rave reviews about an L.A. Colors product. :(
